Starting slow – revisiting some basics in breath observation and low belly expansion; then spinal wave analysis of pelvis; onto classics like down dog, hamstring stretch and some standing poses, including a long review of mountain pose and it’s important in daily life posture and stance.
A quick “plug” for the yoga bible of Light on Yoga, authored by B.K.S. Iyengar. Buy a copy and minimally read his “What is Yoga” at the beginning. We do a sequence informed by Iyengar’s guidance; from starting on back with blanket roll opening chest to standing and back to supine positions.
Traditional and non-traditional yoga explorations with emphasis on the immune system and specifically lymphatic flow. Moving lymph and stimulating areas that control hormones. We start supine with breath work and slowly build to standing and dynamic moves linking breath. As cold and flu season kicks up, this is a great one.
