ANATOMY: POWERING THE COMPLETE CORE (LECTURE + EXPERIENTIAL)

October 15, 2023 - 12:00AM

ANATOMY in ACTION: COMPREHENSIVE CORE STUDY AND ANALYSIS
In person and lecture on Zoom.
Pose exploration in person at B3Fit Wellness Center, 25 Circle Street, Rochester
Fully recorded.

Accessible, applied anatomy targeting athlete’s bodies but very relevant and applicable to all – especially yoga teachers and movement specialists.

Understand and teach from how the layers and differing fiber directions of our comprehensive core (front, side, back) dramatically impact both athletic performance and general healthy functional movement. The core can become an energy leak in sport performance, most typically toward the end of a long game, hard race, or grueling set. It’s vital to use both repetition and variation to strengthen and mobilize the core’s layers – from the shoulders to the glutes. And, did you know, many posture experts believe the muscles in the back should be 30% stronger than the rest of the torso core for optimized posture and performance.
